SNOWDAY 2018

What does a No School Day look like for teachers and students?
As the weather was full of snow and messy roads, teachers were comfortable at home but were still busy creating assignments and engaging their students.

Mrs. Ragan's 2nd-grade students reported out on the Nor'Ester 2018. Click on their  FlipGrid link to hear about the weather.

Miss Reid created a padlet for her students so that they could share what they were doing on the snow day.

Made with Padlet

The day before the Big Storm, Mrs. Murphy had students create a vocabulary list of related words that might be used in a weather report. Mrs. Murphy had her students use their science knowledge to become Meteorologists during their day off. Click on the videos in her FlipGrid to hear these future TV weather reporters. Be sure to also listen to Mrs. Murphy's responses to her students.
Tech Tip:
Providing students with the science vocabulary before the project allows for a more in depth report.
Set the Flipgrid or Padlet up and discuss this with students.
